This session will discuss leading-edge research on how the OBC was not written to specifically protect against clean water entering our sewer systems (something that engineers have been concerned about for a long time). We will discuss the specifics from the OBC that could be strengthened, and look for input from building professional experts about how best to strengthen the Codes to minimize risk of clean water entry and the associated flooding and basement flooding which can result.
